Estadio Gran Parque Central

Estadio Gran Parque Central (Carlos Anaya 2900, Montevideo) — located in the center of Montevideo, this 23,000-seat stadium is the home of Club Nacional de Football.  Located just a walk away from the Tres Cruces bus terminal, the same grounds were used to name local hero Jose Artigas the leader of the Uruguayan people, as well as being used as a bullring before it was converted into a football stadium in 1900.  Along with the football games, some pop concerts (like Elton John) are held here, too.  See the Club Nacional website for upcoming games:   www.nacional.com.uy
